Privacy
Killick collects no data whatsoever. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. The app makes no network connections of any kind.
What stays on your Mac
Your task list is written to a single file inside the app's own container:
~/Library/Containers/com.igorvasic.killick/
Nothing in that file is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app removes it.
What the app observes, and why
To know when to remind you, Killick reads three signals from macOS. All three are read locally, used in the moment, and never stored beyond your own list or sent off the device.
Which application is in the foreground. Only its identifier, never window titles, documents, or contents. This is how a task tagged with an app knows you have been away from it.
Whether the microphone is in use anywhere on the system. A yes or no answer, with no access to audio. This is how the app stays silent during calls.
How long the Mac has been idle. The time since the last keyboard or mouse activity, not what was typed.
Killick requests no macOS permissions. It does not use Accessibility, Screen Recording, microphone access, or notification permissions.
Third parties
There are none. No advertising, no tracking, no software development kits, no crash reporting.
Children
Killick is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it.
